Great quiz night yesterday with a definite Russian thread running through the questions. Helen stepped in as quiz master on account of our resident quiz master (Mary) having taken ill. We wish you a speedy recovery, Mary. Helen did very well considering she was seeing the questions for the first time. George collected the answers and kept score at the end of each round. The Revellers are thankful to George for collecting their answer sheets last of all at the end of each round - that gave them a little more time to finalise their answers and probably stopped them coming last. The 'Beautiful South' were conspicuous for the lowest scoring round of the evening (one point). The 'over 21s' team changed their name to the 'over 22s' at the end of round one and by the end of the final round, they had become the 'over 29s' ... and they won. Well done!

I would like to pass my thanks on too, to all who were involved with/came along to the quiz night. It was very much a team effort, putting it all together and it was wonderful to experience the support given to the music group by all who supported this fund-raising event. I felt that it was a real opportunity to experience first hand the multitude of gifts we have but which sometimes we take for granted. I think the whole experience tied in beautifully with our recent gifting theme and hope that people may have been inspired/have heightened awareness of their gifts as a result of the evening. It was a perfect example of what can be achieved when we all work together, besides being a really enjoyable night. :-)
